Automated Fireworks!

At the get-go, I should issue a good old-fashioned Blue Peter warning - DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! Fireworks are dangerous (perhaps not as apocalyptically dangerous as my dog thinks they are...but still pretty dangerous!).

Having said that...ever thought about automated fireworks?

With Firework Night just gone, the emergency services are breathing another sigh of relief. Every year sees scorched fingers, awkward rocket injuries, and the odd accidental fire. Getting to operate the fireworks directly is part of the fun for many of us...but it can be a bit of a headache for larger, organised displays. Risk assessments and insurance costs are huge for anything involving a spinkle of gunpowder!

But what if we automated fireworks? No, I don't mean holograms or virtual displays or anything boring like that. I mean remote-control launches, automated timings, all that kind of thing. Much safer for people to launch their fireworks at the press of a button - and the right software could potentially come up with some impressive display ideas!

Here's one a bloke named Tomin Jones made earlier...(again, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!)
